Allergy Clearing

Do you experience allergies?

  • You react to foods (or not sure)? You limit your diet (and nourishment)?
  • You are sensitive to things in your environment?
  • You get sick a lot or your symptoms don’t respond, or only respond temporarily?
  • You might even have trouble with quality nutritional supplements?

If you have allergies, the alternative to drugs and the impracticalities of avoidance is…
AACT, Accelerated Allergy Clearing TechniqueSM

Allergies are versatile. They can show up just about anywhere in your body and create an incredible variety of symptoms. They can affect your nose, eyes, throat, lungs, stomach, skin and nervous system. They can give you a bellyache, a rash and even bring on fatigue and headache.

“I was becoming more and more dependent on asthma medication and had to limit even work, not just activities. Plus I couldn’t sleep as a drug side effect. “Then I got the chemicals, drugs and other out—and cleaned up my diet so nothing to inflame the asthma. What a difference! Thank you for opening my eyes!!” —JC

Rising dramatically during the last decades, allergic diseases represent a major health problem. Experts believe allergies might affect at least one third of us and have become the 6th leading cause of chronic disease in America.

allergies, chemical intolerance, allergic reaction, allergy test, anchorage chiropractor, naet, allergy clearing, clinical nutritionIf not managed properly, people can become allergic cripples by avoiding the modern world. Productivity measures suggest that allergies are costing U.S. companies more than $250 million annually due to increased absenteeism and reduced productivity.

And for children, special events and parties are fun. But for parents of food allergic or hyper-allergic children, activities involving food or other allergens can be filled with worry over a very serious allergic reaction. Today, it is common to see children with not one positive patch test, but dozens! Avoiding so many allergens is impractical.

Are allergies that common?

Yes. Fifty years ago, maybe 2-3 people out of 100 would show up with allergies. Today, according to the National Institute of Health:
• about 10 percent of us suffer from seasonal allergies, when pollen counts rise,
• another 10 percent suffer from chronic allergies to pets and dust,
• and nearly 30 percent have food allergies or intolerance.

Allergies especially on the rise with children

baby, infant allergy rash, allergies, chemical intolerance, allergic reaction, allergy test, anchorage chiropractor, naet, allergy clearing, clinical nutritionThe number of children suffering from food allergies is increasing at an alarming rate. Reports suggest 1 in 20 may have food allergies and although we do not understand exactly why, experts suggest this has to do with either the increased toxic chemicals in our world, processed foods, or both.

Unfortunately, a common symptom of allergies is asthma. Allergic asthma is the most common form of asthma affecting 90% of children diagnosed with asthma. Unfortunately, most receive prescriptions for steroid-based inhalers without the needed guidance for desensitizing allergies or correcting habits that bring them about.

How do I know it’s not a cold?

You may think you have a cold, when in fact you have an allergy. The symptoms can be similar because in both situations your body thinks something foreign is invading it. When you really have a viral or bacterial infection, your immune system mounts an attack. You feel sleepy, achy, itchy eyes, sniffles… When you have an allergy, your body mistakes harmless substances—pollen or food—for harmful ones and attacks. You feel runny nose, red itchy eyes, achy… Even doctors have a hard time telling allergies apart from colds.

Prescribing antibiotics when the problem isn’t a bacterial infection harms your digestive tract and imbalances your body—and a harmed digestive tract can lead to further allergies. It is vital to find and fix the exact cause of your symptoms.

Can allergies cause real illness? Serious illness?

Your body can respond in an infinite variety of ways to things it believes are harmful.

Just about any health condition can be a symptom of underlying allergies and this can be hard to diagnose without a complete health history and sometimes logging.

In their book An Alternative Approach to Allergies, Theron G. Randolph, MD, and Ralph W. Moss, PhD, describe how serious and debilitating symptoms including “mental confusion, slowness of thought, lack of initiative and ambition, irritability, occasional loss of sex drive, despondency, body fatigue, weakness and aching” can be brought on by allergies.

Over decades of meticulous testing with patients in Chicago, eliminating allergens and adding them back one at a time, Dr. Randolph demonstrated and documented the basis of the Manic-Depressive cycle and went before Congress to request adequate food labels. Dr. Randolph argues against the common and inappropriate use of mood-altering drugs, electroshock therapy, and psychotherapy when in fact the cause is truly a chemical or food sensitivity or an allergic reaction.

Then my symptoms are genuine? It’s not just “in my head?”

Exactly! You`re not imagining anything. In their mildest form, allergies may be mere nuisances. But for some people with severe allergies, accidental contact with a particular allergen may produce terrifying symptoms, almost as though the person had swallowed poison.

Diagnosis isn’t simple. Unfortunately the milder the complaint—or the more it involves mental/emotional symptoms—the harder it is to get effective treatment. Persistent coughs, sore throats, backaches, numbness or tingling can be allergies; so can anxiety or depression. These symptoms can also be caused by a build-up of toxic substances, or pathogens or even nerve flow alterations. And some allergies start out mild and then get worse each time the person comes in contact with that substance.

It can be frustrating to see so many physicians so many times; perhaps be told it’s all in your head when, in fact, these are genuine health problems.

Wouldn’t it be great to know exactly what is causing these symptoms and get them to stop?

Allergies can explain ADHD and other learning problems:

Most parents don’t realize that hyperactivity, distractibility and aggressive behavior can be triggered by food intolerances. In her book, Is This Your Child? Dr. Doris Rapp documented that 67% of children given a diagnosis of ADHD were actually reacting to unrecognized food and environmental allergies or sensitivities.

My pet cat (peanuts, the local tree, grass…), they aren’t really bad for me!

Exactly! Why do bodies switch from a protective immune system to one on overdrive and reacting to everything? There are any number of factors, commonly:

  • chronic yeast infections or eating “anti-foods” that promote a “leaky gut” and the absorption of incompletely digested food and toxic substances;
  • altered bowel flora from overuse of antibiotics;
  • a build-up of toxic chemicals, medications and/or metals in the body;
  • or when the liver doesn’t properly eliminate these toxics and/or histamines;
  • magnesium and other nutrient deficiencies (which can cause any and all of the above).

What are allergies? (conventional ideas):

The technical term “allergy” originated over one hundred years ago—doctors then used it to describe any abnormal body reaction to any material. Today, mainstream medicine gives allergies a considerably narrower meaning.

The narrow, orthodox definition of allergy today is that the immune system forms antibodies (proteins manufactured by the body that help it recognize and destroy foreign substances) to proteins it believes are foreign (gluten, for example, or proteins on pollen).

allergies, chemical intolerance, allergic reaction, allergy test, anchorage chiropractor, naet, allergy clearing, clinical nutritionNext, these antibodies attach themselves to special cells called “mast cells”—cells found all over but especially in places where foreign invaders can enter the body: your skin, the linings of your lungs and airway, the lining of your nose, your eye, inside your mouth, and all along your digestive tract.

When the antibody attaches, the mast cells release chemicals including histamine. These chemicals irritate us and cause our allergic reactions; symptoms such as mucous production, runny nose, sneezing and itchy eyes.

But the problem with antihistamines like Benadryl™ or Claritin™ is that histamine is vital for health. Histamines help regulate gastric secretions, blood pressure, and is even involved in mood and energy. Too much or too little natural histamine is not healthful. This is one reason why anti-histamines cause drowsiness and have other undesirable effects.

Given this narrow definition, a whole host of abnormal symptoms have been relegated to “sensitivites.”

Allergies? A better definition:

The original Webster’s Dictionary definition of “allergy” is better, “a condition of unusual sensitivity to a substance or substances which, in like amounts, do not affect others.” This includes the antibody-responses we just described and also encompasses other reactions or intolerance. We feel this opens the door to more accurate diagnosis and treatment.

Reactions can occur against things that truly are not that good for us; bee stings, mold, dust mites, drugs, perfume, food preservatives… but allergies can also occur in a misdirected way to things that are not harmful to the majority of people; animal dander, eggs, peanuts, the family pet, pollen…

Remember, when your body’s immune, digestive, or nervous system reacts to a substance in your environment and gives you an allergic reaction, it is not the substance that causes the allergic reactions; it is the body’s reaction to it.

How do I find out whether I have allergies?

allergies, chemical intolerance, allergic reaction, allergy test, anchorage chiropractor, naet, allergy clearing, clinical nutritionThis is where it is important that you understand the two definitions of “allergy.” For 120 years the common patch test has been used to check for allergic reaction by putting small amounts of substances under the skin. It measures the antibody-histamine reaction only. If the test comes back “negative”—no reaction = no antibodies—then you are told you are not allergic.

More recently, the “RAST test” and the “ELISA test” were developed because the “Patch test” and “Scratch test” are uncomfortable and unnecessarily expose the person to the very things that give them allergies. The “RAST test” and the “ELISA test” use a sample of blood and measure whether or not the person has made antibodies to various substances. If antibodies are detected then the person is told they are allergic to that substance, if there are no antibodies then the test comes back “negative.”

But, my expensive allergy tests all came back negative?

I understand! The possibilities are endless but here are three common reasons:

  1. None of those tests can test for everything that could possibly cause your symptoms;
  2. Those tests can detect only a certain type of antibody and, your body may have made a different type (there are a number of different types); and
  3. You are sensitive to these substances in a way that does not involve antibodies.

There are many ways that your body can recognized a substance as being a threat to its well-being—and there are just as many responses. One of those responses is to produce antibodies.

Traditional allergy testing and treatments are painful, expensive and impractical. How can I get rid of my allergies?

Emerging research suggests that altered nerve transmission occurs before the body produces antibodies. In fact, brilliant work at UCLA has measured changed brain waves just from coming near an allergic substance. Contact with a harmful substance alters the normal flow of energy through the body’s electrical circuits, the nervous system, interfering with communication between the brain and body. This is the first step in a chain of events which can develop into a recurring allergy.

That same research shows that the brain waves go back to normal when the person is desensitized to the energy resonance of that substance and then re-exposed to it.

By testing and treating with Accelerated Allergy Clearing Technique (AACT). This natural, painless, noninvasive, drug-free allergy treatment can be used safely on people of all ages and levels of health. It can be used on pets, children, the elderly, anyone.

With this technique you are desensitized, in a specific order, to substances that cause your body to react. In, one session a person can have several to dozen substances fully addressed.

What is AACT and how does it work?

AACT treats the problem at its source by retraining the body so it no longer reacts inappropriately. Our bodies associate a substance as “helpful” or “harmful” by its energetic properties (as well as its chemical form). So it is possible to retrain how the body responds by restoring normal energy flow in the presence of that substance.

Basically, AACT works like this: Similar to what we do in Nutrition Response Testing®, in the presence of closed vials containing very small and safe quantities of the allergen (the substance that your body reacts to), we check a muscle reflex in your extended arm. If your body is affected by the substance, the reflex in your arm will change. In this way we can determine what substances affect you and which systems, exactly, are being affected.

Next, and in the presence of the closed vials of allergen, we take a series of steps to mildly stimulate your nervous system in a way that signals health. This stimulation relaxes the body and temporarily strengthens each of the affected organ systems. The body now associates the positive stimulus with exposure to the substance, no longer perceiving it as harmful.

How long will it take before I don’t have allergic reactions?

Results can be very fast.

For best results, it is necessary to desensitize your body to all those things the immune system has labeled harmful, i.e., all the substances to which your body reacts negatively. Clearing allergens must be done in the correct sequence while respecting the amount of allergens the body can successfully address in one session.

If you are a candidate for AACT, a complete treatment plan may take a number of visits, depending on your condition. After your first visit we can estimate the number of visits you’ll need as well as recommend other steps to take. AACT sessions can be scheduled same-day, daily, weekly and according to your schedule.

How long does “allergy clearing” last?

In our experience, desensitization is lasting, perhaps even for the rest of your life.

According to a study published in 2001 in Alternative Medicine Review, 87.2% of the study’s 90 participants rated the efficacy of the technique as “good to excellent,” desensitization lasted beyond three years—the length of time these participants were followed.

That said, we still have to heal why your body became hyper-allergic in the first place.

We always do a nutritional assessment. That way we can help you restore strength and vitality to your body and heal the cause your allergies and insensitivites.

  1. Food intolerances usually follow “leaky gut” and now your digestive tract needs support to heal properly.
  2. Because your digestive tract has been leaky and unhealthy for so long, you also are likely to need help healing from yeast, acidic bacteria, even parasites.
  3. If you’ve been avoiding certain foods, your body has been long-deprived of nutrients at the levels it needs for proper function.
  4. Key organs and your immune system are also out of balance and must be restored.

Some people are so sensitive to foods that they must be desensitized fully before they can even start a restorative nutrition program. Others can combine allergy clearing with nutritional support. And for some, you may have only a few things that need to be desensitized that let you enjoy spring again, or your favorite pet. We are all different.

In all cases, Designed Clinical Nutrition is the best choice to restore organs and systems that have been negatively impacted by allergies.

Isn’t it great to know that there is a practical, drug-free allergy treatment and solution to food & chemical intolerance?

We think so. In fact, if you have allergy problems or intolerances of any kind, we think nothing can help you more than Accelerated Allergy Clearing Technique (AACT).
